Allison Sarofim Gets Met Gala Glam

“The best part about getting ready for the Met Ball is my dream team!”

Expressive fashion is what makes the Met Gala so fabulous every year, and we always look forward to the fabulous opportunities we get to contribute to the beauty of fashion’s biggest night. This year, Butterfly’s founder Kattia Solano teamed up with master makeup artist Francesca Roman to get actress/producer Allison Sarofim all dolled up for the extravagant evening. Our glam girl chose a fabulous gown, which respected the night’s theme of celebrating the exquisite work of designer Charles James, and joined the ranks of Sarah Jessica Parker, Zoe Saldana, Jessica Pare, Charlize Theron and Anna Kendrick with the sophisticated black and white look.

classic chignon

Kattia says, “We didn’t want to take away from the dress at all, so we went for a very clean and classic beauty look. I absolutely loved her earrings, so it was important to create a pushed back style that also wouldn’t overpower the beautiful jewelry design. I felt that a sleek, low chignon gave it that perfect balance, and I framed the face with a feminine and pretty side-swept fringe.”

fresh makeup

Makeup was all about a very fresh-faced, healthy look. To create Allison’s spring fresh skin, Francesca used Maestro foundation by Georgio Armani and Vitalumiere Aqua by Chanel as concealer. “I made sure to focus a lot on bringing out the brows and lashes to play up the feeling of natural beauty.” For bright eyes, Francesca’s picks were Lemonaid by Benefit eye primer, NARS Voyage eyeshadow, and Stila’s liquid liner pen. She finished with a subdued glow by using Chanel’s cream blush, highlighter and illuminator.
